Couples Therapy
What is BP4C?
Body Psychotherapy for Couples
Developed by Gabriel Shiraz
BP4C – Body Psychotherapy for Couples is a deep, somatic-energetic approach to working with relationships. It integrates the world of couples therapy with the principles and tools of body psychotherapy, offering a unique method for exploring and transforming relationships through verbal, emotional, energetic, and body-based dimensions.
For over 25 years, I have specialized in couples therapy through the lens of Body Psychotherapy—supporting individuals and couples in both in-person and online settings.
I deeply believe in our capacity to live in connection, intimacy, and harmony with our partners and families—even in the midst of life’s complexities. Marriage and family life offer some of the greatest opportunities for personal development, but they require more than just love or attraction. They call for:
• Authentic communication
• Emotional regulation
• Vulnerability and openness
• Ongoing commitment to the relationship.
The BP4C Framework
This holistic approach works with the full range of human experience:
• Thought patterns and behavioral dynamics
• Body image, posture, and body structure
• Breathing and movement patterns
• Emotional expression and regulation
• Sexuality and intimacy
• Belief systems and personal or spiritual growth
What Makes BP4C Unique?
Unlike traditional talk therapy, BP4C incorporates body-oriented tools, including:
• Breathwork and mindfulness practices
• Somatic awareness and movement
• Embodied roleplay and relational dynamics
• Energetic attunement
• Non-verbal communication and resonance
This multidimensional approach helps couples move beyond conversation and access deeper layers of connection, healing, and change.
Whether you're facing challenges in communication, trust, or intimacy—or simply wish to deepen your bond—BP4C offers an integrative path toward transformation and renewal.
Couples and family therapy - BP4C - Body Psychotherapy for Couples
During the last 25 years I have been specializing and focusing on couples therapy with Body Psychotherapy in the clinic or online couples therapy.
I have great faith in our ability to live happily and contentedly with our spouses and close family, despite the difficulties and complexity of life together.
Marriage and family life are one of the significant challenges of our lives and in order to succeed in them many elements are needed, beyond love, partnership, sexuality and more. Communication and openness and work on strengthening and strengthening the relationship in marital and family life are critical to success in the most significant area of our lives.
In couples therapy, I bring the body psychotherapy approach, which also focuses on the physical and energetic feelings that arise in us and in front of the couple on a daily basis and in conflicts and uses various techniques to examine the relationship, ways to improve, lessons for home practice, working with conflicts, crises, desire for separation, divorce and more.
BP4C - Body Psychotherapy for Couples
BP4C is a mental-physical-energetic therapy. The relationship to the couple and the family is holistic and looks at the different layers that make us up: patterns of thought and behavior, physical structure and body image, breathing pattern, movement and posture, emotional expression, sexuality, belief system, personal potential and more.
Couples therapy in biodynamic psychotherapy includes beyond the usual treatment method of conversation, expression and learning of healthy communication, breathing work and mindfulness, work with representations - all while dynamically addressing the relationship and communication between the couple or in the family.
I believe that marital and family intimacy comes from the personal ability of each of us to be intimate with ourselves. During the treatment, a process is created that allows us to understand and see this significant part of our lives.
"There may be a healthy and good divorce..."
In accompanying couples in situations of crisis and divorce, I emphasize an approach and techniques that allow minimal harm to the children and the spouses, while an emotional regulation process, which allows the family to mature and overcome.
Although the process of dissolution, separation and divorce is complex and painful, it is possible with the accompaniment, care, guidance and work of both parties, to reach a place of reducing damages to the couple itself and of course to the children.
Change your partner...
Many of us try to change our partner in the hope that this is what will save the relationship...but we cannot change anyone but ourselves and self-change is not easy at all...!
I believe that the understanding and awareness of this, in the process of couples therapy, can lead to maturity
internal and mutual, while the couple and the family grow together.
